Hoffmann, Shirley (Marriage - 30 May 1960)
Miss Shirley Hoffmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Hoffmann of Colby, and James Faucher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Faucher of Spencer, were united in marriage by Rev. Andrew H. Bofenkamp in the King Catholic church in Spencer Monday morning. Spring floral bouquets decorated the church altar.
Miss Hoffmann chose for her wedding a princess-style gown of net over taffeta with lace trim and styled in floor length with long sleeves. Her fingertip veil was caught to a dewdrop headpiece trimmed with sequins and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and red rosebuds.
Miss Judy Magner of Colby was maid of honor and wore a floor-length dress of yellow nylon over taffeta. Miss Marie Faucher of Spencer was bridesmaid and her dress was styled as the maid of honor’s. They both carried bouquets of yellow carnations with pink rosebuds.
Harold Fleischman and Walter Fleischman, both of Spencer, were best man and groomsman.
A wedding breakfast was served at Magner’s Café in Colby and a supper at the home of the bride’s parents.
Mrs. Faucher is a graduate of Colby High School and has been employed at McLellan’s store in Marshfield. Her husband graduated from Spencer High School and is engaged in farming. They will make their home in Greenwood.
